Pirates!

Hi everyone! I've been checking in with the news about ships and things, and have come across so many pirate encounters lately! Many of these attacks, or encounters, are located around Africa, the Middle East, and around Asia. Most around the south of the Middle Eastern continent in the Gulf of Aden. A lot of these pirates are from Somalia. I believe that many of these pirates are from Somalia, because the citizens of Somalia have been in a constant civil war since 1991. Another reason that pirating has increased is because of fishing.

"Years ago we used to fish a lot, enough for us to eat and sell in the markets.Then illegal fishing and dumping of toxic wastes by foreign fishing vessels affected our livelihood, depleting the fish stocks.I had no other choice but to join my colleagues."
